24 Hours--SAT Review 

This comprehensive SAT prep class runs for six weeks prior to the SAT test, meeting twice a week for a total of four hours each week or 24 total hours of SAT instruction.  We include eight hours of SAT training/practice in each of the three areas of the test: Mathematics, Verbal and Writing.  All concepts from the 'Beat The SAT' class are taught and reinforced through optional SAT homework.

We group students according to ability shown on prior SAT tests and current Math classes (Pre-Calculus and Calculus students or students with a prior 600+ Math score would be in the high math class) so that no one is bored and no one is embarrassed.  Our trained teachers recognize and accomodate varying learning levels.

This SAT review class is perfect for the student who achieves success in his high school classes through hard work.  We focus on SAT strategies, and we teach SAT specific skills.  We constantly use real SAT questions to help students gain SAT test confidence.  Each student will receive a copy of 'The Official SAT Study Guide for the New SAT' by College Board which includes numerous practice SAT tests to use during class and at home. 

Cost: $295  Students are ENCOURAGED to retake this class or 'Beat the SAT' for no additional charge in order to continue improving SAT scores.

Beat the SAT--6 Hour SAT Review

This six-hour class is held approximately one week before each SAT.  The class gives equal instruction time to the Math, Verbal and Writing sections of the test.
Topics include:

• Time management
• Properties of the different types of questions:
  • Sentence Completion, Reading Comprehension(both long and short)
  • Grid-In, Math Multiple Choice
  • Fix the sentence or paragraph, Find the error and THE ESSAY
• Shortcuts to harder problems
• Confidence versus cockiness
• Smart guessing
• Going after a specific score
• Respect instead of fear of the test
• Practice in all types of verbal, writing and math questions
• Extra Math practice night from 6 - 8 pm the week prior to the test
